I am trying to find a self leveling bed frame or something sturdy.
How to level bed frame on uneven floor.
On the top side of the floor another fix it idea to lay down new hardwood over the existing floor.
You might consider getting a proper bed frame even a used one.
These have supports in the proper places and the beds are made for them.
If this is my best bet then what are recommended materials to use.
But there is an easy solution.
However your bad back might be aggravated by your uneven bed but it is almost certainly created by you spending too much time sat down.
I d like to level my bed.
Floors are rarely perfectly level.
Prop your bed up so that it is level even if the floor isn t.
I have tried putting shims under there but that doesnt help much.
If you own a compass the kind for drawing circles not the kind that points.
One approach is to just get some shims and stack them up.
What are some good ways to do this.
My bedroom has a very uneven floor.
If i were about 1000km closer i d give you an old.
I have a very uneven floor in my bedroom and a metal bed frame non leveling feet soon to be a wooden bed frame.
There are a few variables to consider.
You will have to make sure your joists can handle the addition of considerably more weight from the plywood subfloor and any floor coverings.
Because of this my bed is lopsided and its killing my back.
Are the beds legs uneven even if it s on a level surface.
If the area is very large use a long straight 2 in 4 in 5 1 cm 10 2 cm board and set your level on top of it.
If you aren t too concerned about keeping the furniture piece in pristine condition glue or tape the item to the bottom of the furniture for added stability.
Then you could shim the feet.
A simple permanent solution would be to scribe the legs to the floor.
So chances are the screws would pull out of the wood.
A plywood subfloor will bridge any minor waves in the existing floor and leveling compound would help too.
For example if you are trying to level a chair on a sloped floor slip a book of matches or a wooden shim under the leg that isn t reaching the ground.
